This firm has been in existence since 1967, under the name Dan Lourens Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
It started as an Earthworks and Roads Construction Company. In August 1987 it was taken over by J.J. Geldenhuys Construction, which operates as a Building and Civil Construction Company.
In 1993 the Dan Lourens name was changed to J.J. Geldenhuys Construction (Pty) Ltd and all operations merged under the one name and a plant division under JJG Plant Hire. Since March 2001 the Company has been trading under the name J.J.G. Construction (Pty) Ltd.
Over the last 45 years the company became well known for the construction of sewerage works and established itself as one of the major players in Civil and Building works in North-west Province. JJG Construction received the SAICE “Award for Excellence in Civil Engineering” in 1990 for the Chris van Eeden Centrum – Public Library & Treasury in Klerksdorp. Our company received a PMR “Diamond” Arrow award for best Construction company in North-west in 2003, and this was followed by an PMR “Golden”Arrow award in 2004. In 2006 we received a “Feather Award” from ACSA for Landsite Contractor of 2006 for George Airport. Impala Platinum and RSV awarded us with a “Safety Achiever of the year”Award in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
In March 2004 the company expands to include Southern Cape and opened a branch in Mossel Bay. With highly qualified and with a combined total of 110 years in the trade with experienced personnel we are well known for our quality and outstanding work in the country.
